Vivien Plant

Vivien Plant is a self-taught Australian artist whose career spans more than five decades. Her more recent work has focused on fiberglass; creating larger than life sculptures of wildlife, human figures and fantasy creatures. Her amazingly diverse style ranges from outlandish pottery to hyper-realistic sculpture. Though she is primarily known for her clay-work, she has frequently experimented with other mediums. Viv's work first gain Australian-wide attention during the 1970's when she hosted the televised Brisbane art show "WOMBAT". Unfortunately, no footage exists of the show due to mismanagement by the ABC.
